At Zookbinders, we manufacture four distinctly different professional photo albums for photographers. When visiting our website, Zookbinders.com, you’ll see the different album types; Zook Book, Lustre Book, EZ Book, and the very unique Bon a Vie album listed under product types. To help figure out which album is right for your event or photo session we’ll do a professional photo album comparison. In this blog, we’ll take a look at the Lustre Book and The EZ Book.
Premium Professional Albums
Historically Zookbinders has created albums printed on professional photographic paper. The prints are attached to a substrate to create a flush-mount photo album with thick pages. The Zook Book, Lustre Book book, and Bon A Vie all have this substrate and the mounted pages.
Once the block of mounted spreads is ready, it is attached to the album cover via end sheets. This construction creates a premium professional album that is perfect for weddings, events, portrait sessions, and more.
Something for Everyone
A few years ago Zookbinders introduced a new product – the EZ Book. Due to high demand, we wanted to offer a professional photo album at a lower starting price. In addition, we also wanted to have an album that could easily be added to portrait packages and wedding collections as a sign-in photo book or parent album.
With their thinner profile, the EZ Book doesn’t overshadow the main album. Undoubtedly, EZ Books works well for senior sessions, baby or newborn albums, family sessions, and smaller events like anniversary parties.
What’s the Difference?
At first glance the Lustre Book, which comes with a photo wrap cover, looks similar to the EZ Book, however, there are some big differences.
If you log into your Zookie Pro account and review the catalog with the pricing calculator you’ll notice that the EZ Book and Lustre Book have noticeably different starting prices. Although they appear similar, as you can see for the initial investment, they are quite different and suitable for different types.

Choosing the Right Products
There is certainly an album out there for everyone. A wedding with 200 guests at a Country Club needs something a bit more elevated than that simple EZ Book. A B’nai Mitzvah for sibling besties at a premium event space might need an acrylic cover to make the right impression. Therefore, the Lustre Book is a great choice for these events!
Need copies of a high school senior’s album for grandparents? Looking for a cost-effective album to add to mini-sessions? Want to add a sign-in book to your wedding collections? For these needs, The EZ book has the quality and simplicity to show off your images.
