We’ve all heard this before, but how does it apply to photographers and their clients?
I’m a really good photographer and I care about my clients, isn’t that enough? No! When it comes to style, color and fashion for their wedding, today’s brides are all about what’s trending and relevant. With Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest at their fingertips, they have access to all the latest and greatest!
Be prepared for your initial consultation. Dress the part of a professional photographer. If you plan on charging a million dollars for your work, you better look like a million dollars! Have a polished presentation prepared. Put together a slideshow of images on your laptop. Have a printed price list and a nice presentation folder with your logo printed on it for the bride and groom to take home with them. Make sure you have some great sample albums to show your work.
When it comes to your sample albums be sure the images reflect today’s style and fashions. If your samples are from a couple years ago, the bride will be less likely to see you as a current and relevant photographer. Choose high impact images that stand out from the competition! Show a variety of unique images and options, color, black and white, colorized, sepia and perhaps images printed on metallic papers. Brides like to see versatility and options that will make their wedding album unique and different from their girlfriend’s albums (even if they never buy it themselves!).
Got a great new wedding you just shot? Why not have our design team create a custom photo album with that Wow factor! We design thousands of albums every year, and our designers will give your images a whole different look. Add a splash or Reflectionz cover.
Being prepared will give you the confidence to make a great first impression on your next wedding consultation. Armed with your awesome photography designs, printed and bound in a beautiful custom photo album will make a Great First Impression!
