Yes! McKenna has been an established lab since 1969 offering top quality products for photographers. They have also been our back-up printer for the past two years. High quality is nothing new to their expansive and experienced team! They have worked hard to ensure that they carry on the high-quality albums that our photographers expect.

Great news – the turnaround time will actually be improved! Previously Zookbinders photographers could expect their albums in 10-12 business days, and now they can expect their albums in a shorter production time.

Yes! All the prices will still be the same. 

Yes! The ordering system will be exactly the same – although we are looking at a new and improved ordering system in late-2024 or early-2025 for all Zookbinders customers. 

Your account will be exactly the same. It will have the same log-in and password as before. 

The customer service staff is the same – Tori, Melissa, and Maureen are here to answer any emails, phone calls, and messages Monday – Friday. Mark Zucker will be available in an advisory role, but will no longer be in an ownership role. Jared Mason, the new Zookbinders owner, and the expanded production team is located in a large facility in Waterloo, Iowa.

Your invoices will now come from McKenna, which is located in Waterloo, Iowa.

Yes, our photographers in Illinois will need to submit new tax-exempt forms to be tax-exempt. You can download the form here: https://mckennapro.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/Illinois-Certificate-of-Resale.pdf. Send your Illinois sales tax resale/exemption certificate to tax@mckennapro.com. Please list “McKenna Color Lab, Inc, 2815 Falls Avenue, Waterloo, Iowa” as the seller. 

Please contact our customer service team before shipping any albums that need repaired or remade. 

We no longer offer pickup services in Deerfield, Illinois, as production has moved to Waterloo, Iowa. If you were a pickup customer, please contact customer service for more information. 

To have a delivery signature required is an option in our shipping software. However, we do not required it on shipments. If a photographer is interested in adding “signature required” to a delivery, it is an additional cost.

Jared Mason is the President of McKenna and has been working with Mark Zucker for two years as the back-up printer for Zookbinders. Jared has been a trusted resource for Zookbinders as an expert in the printing and business field.

Mark Zucker will be available in an advisory role but no longer in an ownership role. He is deeply grateful to all the Zookbinders client relationships and friendships since 1995 when Zookbinders was created, and he is very excited for the new future of Zookbinders.

This is a great and exciting question – one of the most exciting things about becoming a McKenna company (see more at www.mckennapro.com) is that they have many options in their line of products! Currently for Zookbinders, we are working on additional imprinting options and leather/fabric options, along with the new ordering system.
