September 9th, Zookbinders participated in sending donations to help flood victims in Corpus Christi, Texas through the organization DisasterRelief.fund. Penske donated 3 large trucks and the organization stocked them full of supplies. We collected hundreds of rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, diapers, wipes, blankets, baby food, formula and our employees dropped them off prior to departure.

We are also continuing to donate funds to help an animal shelter, The Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago. Many pets were relocated to Chicago shelters from shelters in Texas that were affected by the high flood waters. We collected over 100 pounds of dog food, cat food, blankets, toys and cat litter. If you would like to contribute visit http://anticruelty.org/ways-to-get-involved/fall2017/ to get involved.

The devastation of Texas is personal for a few Zookbinders employees. Tori, our Digital Production Creative Manager, says, “I had the pleasure to spend a day in Corpus Christi a few days before Hurricane Harvey. The people there are some of the nicest and warmest people I’ve ever met. Everyone greeted us with open arms and treated us like family. We, at Zookbinders, are thinking about everyone affected by Harvey and hope these donations can be a small way to let you know that you’re in our hearts.”
