Wedding Photo Album | Zookbinders

We often hear wedding photographers tell us: “not all of my clients want an album”.  Here’s a great response to your client: “The album is not for you… it’s for the children and grandchildren you’re going to have” I was recently reminded of the immense value that a photo album holds while having breakfast at a local restaurant. At the next table were two brothers looking through a photo album, and of course, I couldn’t resist asking them about it. I learned that their Mom had curated this album, and that one of the brothers had never seen the photos! There were photos of them as infants, adolescents, in the military and many candid family photos. The younger brother was getting emotional looking at the photos for 2 reasons:  1) he had never seen most of these photos, and 2) he was so appreciative of his Mom for caring enough to not only save EVERY photo of her boys since birth, but to create a photo album from them. When you think about how the emotional value of photos increase exponentially over time, it seems like a no-brainer for your clients to order printed products from EVERY photo shoot. Imagine if the Mom who created this Photo Album had digital files of all images (plus thousands more)…the likelihood of her children seeing them 70 years later is very small. Future generations will not go through your digital storage devices to find your wedding photos.   Let’s face it, part of the fun of looking through an “old” album is experiencing the products from that era. Having a physical wedding photo album is the only way to truly preserve your memories in a way so that they can be passed down from generations to generation. The hand crafted photo album cover was made with wood, and is still in great condition.  (Check out the vintage font!). An album made with so much love is priceless. When you buy a wedding photo album you aren’t buying an object. Rather, you’re buying your family’s first heirloom and preserving your family’s history. So the next time one of your couples selfishly balks at the idea of buying a professional wedding album, remind them: “it’s not for you….it’s for the children and grandchildren you’re going to have!”
