FAQs for Matted Print to BindQ. How do I order? A. You will first need to download the ROES ordering system from our website and follow the easy instructions. http://www.softworksroes.com/ROES/labs/Zookbinders/launch.jnlp Q. Where are the instructions for your ordering system? A. After you open the ordering software any updates will appear first and then the easy to follow instructions. Q. What color space do I use? A. Use whatever color space you are currently set up for- The most important consideration is that each device in your studio is set to maintain that color space (camera, Photoshop, monitor, proof printer, etc. should all be set to the same color space) Q. What profile do I attach? A. Attach your working color space profile (SRGB, Adobe RGB (1998) ,etc. Q. Are test prints needed for matted print to bind? A. Yes, before we begin printing test files must be sent to Zookbinders. http://www.zookbinders.com/services/printordering.php Q. What size files do you accept and should they be sized appropriately for my intended album design? A. Files need to be 300 ppi at print size, level 10 (high quality) jpg’s. Q. How do I name my files? A. You can name the files whatever you would like, as long as you avoid special characters (.,#,%,&,/, etc.) The order of the pages in the book will be determined by the sequence in which the pages are ordered in ROES. Q. Do I design first or do it through ROES? A. We recommend having an idea of your album design – It is especially helpful to pre-determine the grouping of your images and the sequence you wish to follow. How should I set up my desktop for optimum viewing while ordering through ROES? A. Open the Sizes Palette and format it horizontally along the bottom of your screen under the ordering software window. ![]() Q. Where do I find the frame codes? A. Do I fill out an order form? A. No, you determine page sequence and select the cover details all within ROES. Once we receive the order we will auto-generate an order form using the information and options you indicated in ROES. Q. Can I create custom mats? A. No, If your design will not work with the provided mats a good alternative would be to create a digital page incorporating your design in a half panorama page. Q. Can I e-mail the album design to my customer? A. Yes, but you will need the ability to print to a PDF file (This ability is built in on Mac, and available on Windows machines through adobe acrobat or a similar program.) Q. Can I change the album sequence while ordering? A. Yes, refer to the ROES instructions. Q. Can I order matching PhotoBooks at the same time? A. Yes, go to step three after your matted album pages (step 1) and cover (step 2) to add the square format photobooks. Q. Can I include an actual invitation for mounting? A. No, we recommend incorporating an image of the invitation into your first print design. If you choose to mount the invitation yourself, order side one, as Invo Blank. Q. How many panoramas and ½ panoramas can go into a matted album? A. 3 panos are the limit in the matted album but you can design as many ½ panos as you like – remember there is an additional cost for these pages. http://www.zookbinders.com/pdf/matted_instructions.pdf Q. Can I use the reflectionz cover on a matted album? A. Not yet but we are working on that option. Q. Will I receive a confirmation that my order was received? A. Yes the ordering software sends an automatic e-mail with a ROES confirmation number – please remember this number in case you need to contact us with any questions. Q. How long will my order take to produce? A. Production time for orders is 10 business days “in-plant”, plus shipping. Orders received after 10am are processed the following business day. November and December are exceptions due to seasonally high volume. Q. What will the matted prints cost? A. Please contact customer service for further details Q. Why is the matted album referred to as a 10x10 when the actual finished size is 12x12? A. 10x10 refers to the largest size print that can be mounted with a matt around it. |
