What’s the difference between Acrylic and Reflectionz covers?

Acrylic cover images are printed in-house and adhered to the acrylic for a one-piece cover. Reflectionz cover images are printed on a dye-sublimation printer and then transferred to the Reflectionz cover material via pressure and heat. You can expect more accurate color on Acrylic covers and a more chip resistant material.

Are Acrylic covers going to be replacing Reflectionz covers?

There is no plan at this time to discontinue Reflectionz covers. We will continue to offer both options for Zook Books.

What is the surface area / design specs for Acrylic covers?

As with the Reflectionz and Leather spine covers, we recommend a 1/2″ safety margin on the top, bottom and right side of your image for Acrylic cover designs. The image should still be full bleed (fill the entire area / be flush to the sides) but not have any important elements such as text layers, heads, or feet closer than 1/2″ away from the edge of your cover image.
