Metallic Paper


How would you describe metallic paper?


It has a distinctive, three dimensional quality with crisp details and vibrant saturated colors.

How durable is the surface?


The surface can be more sensitive to scratching but when lacquered it is very durable.

How is the paper surface protected?


We use the same water –soluble lacquer that is used on our standard photo paper.

Can part of the album be metallic?


An entire album needs to be metallic – not just a few prints.

Is Kodak paper being used?


Yes, Kodak Endura Metallic Paper.

Do I need to resubmit test prints?


If you are already set up for print to bind and have sent in the test prints there is no need to resubmit.

What is the cost difference?


There is a small surcharge added to the regular print & album cost.

Is the Zook Book construction the same with this paper surface?


The paper surface does not affect the construction of the Zook Book.

Does metallic paper affect color corrections?


The color will be more saturated – which is why photographers like this surface so much.

Is the album care different with this type of paper?


No additional special care is needed with this type of paper in the album.

On what size albums is metallic paper available?


Metallic paper is available in all sizes of Zook Books – it is not available in Matted Albums
