New Packaging Adds Some Spice

For 2011 Zookbinders has added some spice to our product packaging. Many of you have commented that you love our albums and the simple elegance of our black presentation boxes, but you feel we need to add a little extra pizzazz for the moment the bride opens her album box. Here it is!

New packaging by Zookbinders and zookie pro adds some spice to your albums.

We’ve exchanged our long standing gray flannel pillow cases for a series of new Jacquard fabric pillow cases and wraps. Jacquard refers to any fabric with an intricately woven pattern. Our new pattern is woven into three different fabrics. Our matted albums and Zook Books are now be placed within a Sesame pillow case. Our new Lustre Books are placed in a Passion Red wrap and our zookie pro books are placed in a Celadon Green wrap. Larger books and albums also get a complimenting ribbon, while smaller books receive the wrap without the ribbon. All PhotoBooks are still wrapped with tissue before being boxed.

  2. I wish that the Photobooks came with slip cases. It really bums me out that they don’t.

  3. I received an album TODAY from FedEx and was so surprised to find the new case. It’s very nice, well made, and a BIG improvement over the flannel cases. My only suggestion might be less taste-specific colors? For example, the album that came today was black with silver gilding. I think a black or silver jacquard might match more albums than the gold (just like the fabric on the inside of the covers is black). Or provide colors that match the gilding? Just a suggestion.

  4. Thanks everyone for the positive feed back. Cydil, thanks for the suggestion, the idea of a pillow case that matches the gilding is very interesting – we’ll give it consideration.

  5. Perhaps photographers would enjoy choosing the colors regardless of which product they ordered. I know I personally would enjoy that option! I also agree with a black and sliver jacquard option.

  6. Thanks for the suggestion Brenna. We did consider letting people chose but because our cases and wraps are specially made, it’s hard to mix and match. The pillow cases are designed for the larger albums and the wraps are for the thinner Lustre and PB+ books. The reason we chose the colors was to differentiate each line that we offer. Keep those comments coming though, we’re always open to suggestions.
