Which Is Best for You?

With the introduction of The Lustre Book by Zookbinders™, we now offer three different page finishes.  In our PhotoBook and PhotoBook Plus lines we offer our original glossy finish and our matte finish that was released last summer. For those wishing for something “in between” our high gloss and much softer matte, you can now choose  a luster finish in our Lustre Book.

Many of our clients love the high gloss look of our laminated glossy pages. Colors are crisp and clean and while the finish can show fingerprints, they are easily wiped clean with a soft cloth. The high gloss finish makes for a striking presentation with bright, bold images.

Our matte finish comes to you with a pebble-like surface texture on a non-laminated page. The matte finish will slightly reduce the contrast and saturation of your images. Natural variations in the matte finish also make it susceptible to minor imperfections in look and texture. However, for a softer, more romantic look, it is the way to go.

Our new Lustre Book is distinguished by gorgeous silver halide photographic paper with a luster finish (E surface). Each page is lacquer coated for added protection and like PhotoBooks all pages lay flat. A standard in the industry for decades, our luster paper offers the best image quality on a rich surface that helps hide fingerprints.

So which finish is best for you?  That’s not a decision we can make for you but what we can do is offer three quality paper finishes that are each uniquely suited for various subjects and situations. No matter which surface you choose, we’re sure you’ll be thrilled.
