Mark and Leslie Zucker founded Zookbinders in 1995 with a vision to make high quality products supported by outstanding customer service. During our 13 years in business we’re proud to have innovated many products and advancements in our industry. And we feel especially grateful to partner with so many great photographers—building albums that showcase your art and help your clients remember their happiest occasions.

About Mark Zucker and Zookbinders

 Under Mark’s leadership, the album company has consistently broken new ground. Zookbinders’ production cycle time is among the quickest in the industry; the company was first to offer digital templates to photographers for album design; and more recently, the company created a one-stop shop for photographers with the addition of in-house print services for digitally designed albums.

The professional photography industry has experienced remarkable change since Zookbinders produced its first album 12 years ago. To keep pace with the changing needs of photographers, Mark has led the company through three reinventions.

Prior to entering the professional photography industry 20 years ago, Mark was a copywriter for a New York City advertising agency. His professional activities include being a member of the Digital Wedding Forum, Photo Marketing Association/DIMA, Professional Photographers of America, and Wedding & Portrait Photographers International. He currently serves on the DIMA Board of Directors, is a Past Board Member of the Chicagoland Professional Photographers Association and co-founded of the PPC Chicago, an organization of professional photographers.

He is a frequent speaker & author on popular topics such as attracting & satisfying clients in the post-digital world;
avoiding “digital disease” or the pitfalls of the digital revolution; the importance of people skills in marketing & selling
creative/technical services; and how to run a successful business. [Read more]

Other charitable and community activities include co-founder & board member, P.H.O.T.O Foundation , a non-profit formed to provide relief to professional photographers devastated by Hurricane Katrina, and he is a board member of the The Vision for Tomorrow Foundation, a non-profit formed to fund research, education and public awareness in the area of genetic disorders causing low vision in children.

Mark also is a business school lecturer at College of Lake County and youth baseball & basketball coach.
